I use 100% colour pencils by Polychromos, Caran D'Ache Luminance, Pablos and Derwent Drawing. Grafix .005 double sided matte drafting film is my preferred surface. All of which are colourfast & archival so your art will last for many years without yellowing or fading (but dont hang it in direct sunlight!)

If you'd like to order a commission, please note that my lead time will likely be a few months, so plan ahead and get in touch early if you have a special event coming up. I close my books periodically so that I am not working under too much pressure! If my books are closed at the time you get in touch, I can add your name to my wait list and will let you know as soon as the situation changes.

Step 1: Choose your best photo! Choosing the right photo is very important
and determines how much detail is in the finished result.
Natural light is best but not essential -, but please don't use a flash -
and it must be in focus.
You can submit a few photos & we can choose the best one.
If the photos are not your own, then permission is required from the
photographer, for copyright purposes.
 
Step 2: Decide on the details!
Once I know we have suitable photos we can decide on the size and how
many subjects and I can provide a quote. 

Step 3: Secure your place in my diary with a non-refundable C$50 deposit, payable by bank transfer or by any credit or debit card via a Square invoice. The balance is payable when the portrait is finished and you're happy with it.

Step 4: Review! Once started I can, if requested, send regular updates of my progress. I also post updates on my social media page, unless you tell me that it's a surprise gift. When it's complete I'll ask that you review it and confirm that it meets your expectations. Once started I cannot make any changes.

Step 5: Payment & Shipping! The balance is due in full, before shipping. It will be securely packaged and sent by tracked  shipment. Shipping is an additional cost. I can ship worldwide.
